Kevin “Truck” Turner

Captain Turner aka “Truck” is originally from Hammond, LA and moved to Mississippi in 1999. Commander Turner graduated from Southwest Mississippi Community College in 2001 before attending Mississippi College where he played defensive lineman for the Choctaws. Captain Turner began his career at the Forest Police Department in 2007 where he worked as a patrol officer then later promoted to Patrol Sergeant. As we began the process in building the Byram Police Department, Turner was hired in 2011 as one of the first Patrol Sergeants. He later was promoted to Commander in 2021. Turner served as Commander until 2023, when he was promoted to Captain. Turner now serves as second in command of the department.
