Fred Green

Fred Green has been the Fire Chief of the City of Byram Fire Department since July 2017.  Prior to that he was the Assistant Fire Chief in Byram.  As Fire Chief, he is responsible for administrative, managerial, and technical work of all employees and activities of the City of Byram Fire Department.  The Fire Chief is responsible for the preparation and review of the FD budget; reviewing bids received, with the ability to make an appropriate recommendation; being familiar with city personnel policies; and possessing a working knowledge of employment and other laws applicable to local governments.  The Fire Chief is directly responsible to the Mayor.
